Going independent

I announced I would nominate as an independent. Through life and work I have seen first-hand the struggles many face, and I am putting my hand up to invoke positive change by advocating and representing the people first.

I have contested previous elections with the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party, including Lyons, the Legislative Council seat of Prosser, and the Senate. I stepped down as secretary and as a member to run as an independent. The people can trust I will work with any member or party that aligns with what the community is telling me is best for them.

The core focus is the future of Tasmanians, not big business or private enterprise. The key issues I released then are the same platform this site carries now: a feasibility study for a university teaching hospital; equitable rural health care, including a medical centre at Ouse; a Tasmanian Amager Bakke waste-to-energy facility; taking control of affordable housing by directly employing Tasmanians to get houses built; decriminalising cannabis and removing restrictions on hemp.

That is a Tasmania-wide approach. Ballots change. The work does not.
